Commercial Gateway (CommGate.com) has launched a new email HotSheet alert, which is designed to inform the commercial real estate community about new and recent activity in the market.
The CommGate HotSheet will help buyer’s agent and brokers stay on top of new listings that hit the market. Brokers and agents can share HotSheet alerts with their clients, or they can drill down into any of the listing detail pages for more in-depth reporting. CommGate reports include nearby retailer maps, drive-time maps, flood maps, demographic reports, and more.
The CommGate HotSheet will also help agents and brokers who have active listings. The alerts will give agents an opportunity to discuss market conditions with their clients, particularly when new listings come on the market that are similar in size and in the same area. CommGate will also send HotSheet alerts that feature sold and leased listings, highlighting the brokers and teams involved in these transactions.
CommGate staff members will select several listings to feature in each emailed HotSheet. Listing agents and brokers may also request that their properties be added to the list. CommGate HotSheets will not replace the email broadcast system, which allows brokers to send out emails to the entire membership roster. The CommGate HotSheets is one of the many tools that are available to help members stay informed and guide their clients through the ever changing the commercial real estate market.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued a statewide “Essential Services” order that goes in effect today. The order is effectively a stay-at-home order that only allows people to leave their homes if performing an “Essential Activity” (going to the grocery store, doctor, pharmacy, gas station, restaurant takeout/drive-thru, etc.) or going to work at an “Essential Business.” For the purposes of the statewide order, “residential and commercial real estate services, including settlement services” are included as essential for the entire state of Texas.
The governor’s order supersedes all orders that were made previously by individual counties and remains in effect through April 30, 2020. Please seek legal counsel if you are unsure if a certain business, service, or function is considered essential.
HAR President and CEO Bob Hale spoke during a Harris County Commissioners Court meeting on March 24 about the need to include residential and commercial real estate among the list of “essential” services exempt from Harris County’s new “stay home, work smart” order.
Harris County’s order deemed real estate services among a group of professional services that are essential “when necessary to assist in compliance with legally mandated activities or to further essential businesses, essential government functions, or critical infrastructure.”
